(More customer reviews)Overall this seems to be a decent screen and a good value.I've only had it for a few weeks, so I am not qualified to comment on the longevity of the motor or associated mechanical parts, but so far, so good.The image quality seems good, it was easy to install, and operation is easy using the wired-in control box.Now for my complaint:this thing comes with, by far, hands down, the world's worst remote control(s).Maybe this seems like nitpicking, especially at this pricepoint, but still... First off, the remote uses one of the tiniest batteries I have ever seen outside of a watch - size 27A - so good luck finding a replacement at your local convenience store.2nd - the battery does not fit securely in place when inserted in the remote (it just sort of "floats" in between the springs for the battery contacts) so the battery comes loose at the slightest vibration, which is compounded by the fact that you can't access the battery unless you unscrew a tiny screw - so keep that eyeglass screwdriver handy.Luckily, it comes with both a RF AND an IR remote, so you can use your IR remote to "teach" a universal learning remote - as long as you can get the included IR remote to work long enough to do the teaching process.I finally got the Elite remote to work long enough to teach my universal remote - but it requires lots of patience while I moved the battery around until it hit "just the right spot."If you don't have a universal remote, factor in some extra money to buy one at the same time as the screen - otherwise you might heave the included remotes out the window before you have a chance to teach the codes to your universal.

As I said, overall this screen is a great value, and the screen itself seems to be well put together and solid.In the end, it's just a remote control - I would still buy this even knowing what I know now - but I needed to vent on this subject, if only to keep any other potential customers from being disappointed.Hope it helps, and happy viewing.

This serves a great portable player for my home office. Also, for an extra player that I can travel with. Considering the low price and the fact that a player with MP3 capabilities and cassette deck are almost impossible to find, I am pleased with my purchase.
*Note: The reason that I gave it a 4 was because it is hard to read the controls for the buttons above the CD area.

Enter the Logitech Cordless Action Controller!! This is without a doubt one of the best controllers I've ever used! The controllers is very well made. The feel of it is very natural in your hands, though slightly different than the original PS2 Dual Shock. There's a nice satin like finish that prevents alot of dirt from your hands from making the controller too slippery. There is literally no notciable lag or delay in the controller's operation. The controllers 2.4 ghz signal ensures that you won't miss any of the action. Every function of the original is reproduced faithfully. Installation is extremely simple. Plug the reciever into your PS2's controller port and simpley press the action button to get a signal. There is also a button on the reciever to make the connection if needed. The battery life (the controller takes two AA batterys) is approximatley 300 hours without the vibration mode and 50 hours with the vibration mode on. A small sacrifice to make for a great product such as this.
I really can't say enough good things about this product. It's great if you have small children in the house especially. No more worrying if they are going to trip and drag the console across the room. In fact this is such a great controller I'm considering buying a second!

Terk FDTV1A Flat Digital Omni Directional Amplified Indoor Antenna (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought a Terk TV-55 antenna around a decade ago (still sold today), since it was one of the most expensive antennas around, and I was hoping there was something to it.

It worked, but I've never been convinced it does any better than more traditional antennas.It does do a better job since the digital transition, but I had to play with it's positioning quite a bit to get everything to come in.

Originally I figured I'd pick up another one of those, but when I saw this, I thought I might as well take a chance on a newer design.

Pulling it out of the box, it's amazing how small and light it is compared to my TV-55...it had me skeptical that it could really do as well.

Before hooking it up, I used the signal strength indicator on my Tivo HD to check how well each station was coming in, so that I could see if this antenna really did better or worse...

I swapped antennas, threw this FDTV1A on a chair near where I have my TV-55, and checked again.To my pleasant surprise, EVERY channel comes in stronger.Channels that were above 80% already are now maxed out at 100.Channels below that have all gained at least 10+ to 30 on the signal meter.I even seem to be able to pull in one station from another market decently that didn't come in at all on the TV-55.

And all that was without doing any more positioning than just throwing it on a chair next to my TV-55 (which is by an outside wall).(I should note that I have channels coming several different directions, so on my TV-55 it's challenging to find an orientation that gets all of them decently-this model really does seem to be omnidirectional, or at least far more so than a normal antenna).

So I'm very happy with this thing's performance so far, and would absolutely recommend it.For YEARS I've wondered why someone couldn't make a better antenna, with all the technology we have now...and it looks like they actually did.

The small size, and small AC adapter are nice too.

One note-if you're already getting channels in super strong, I've heard there's a chance that amplifying them may actually make them worse.I didn't have that happen in my situation at all.Even the channels that were already at 92 or 96 on my signal strength meter just bounced up to 100 without issue, but possibly some people might want to try it without plugging in the amplifier, if their signals are already super strong.

It comes with a rechargeable battery, so it will play plugged in or not.The remote control works well, too.Setting the clock and alarm is easy. This is a simple and satisfying way to listen to my ipod in the house---the entire house from a little speaker.

I didn't have any problem tuning into radio stations that came in well even without the antenna.

The remote control is a little unreliable. The range the product suggests is 15 ft, but I found it unreliable even within that distance. It often requires several pushes and moving it around.

Tuneflex Aux Play Ipod In The Car Review

(More customer reviews)This review is for the new 2.0 version. It has the variable output control on the base, while the old version had a simple high-low switch. This is important because it allows for a precise adjustment of the output from the iPod.

What will the Tuneflex do for you? First, it is nice to have your iPod up in front where you can see and operate it. It provides for charging and the sound output comes from the bottom plug of the iPod, rather than the headphone output jack. This provides for better sound as the headphone output is designed for headphones only.

You do not want an fm transmitter. Those are horrid in all respects.

These features are of no use unless you have an accessible lighter (or power output) and an auxiliary input on the vehicle's sound system. These can be added by handy people or the local car stereo installer.

Some reviewers have complained that the Tuneflex is wobbly. The 2.0 is very solid, but the lighter plug itself is often loose. Mine is, but it still works ok and is not too annoying. I may go in and tighten it up or replace it with a sturdier output some time.

The Tuneflex fits tightly, so hold down the lighter when you pull out the unit. Lighters are not very strong.

Note that the product description informs you of which iPods fit. The Tuneflex comes with a variety of holders that snap on to the stalk and hold the selected iPod securely. If you keep your Tunflex installed, all you have to do is slide the iPod in and it is all connected.

Well, you ask, what about the iPhone? It is not on the supported products list. It so happens that the first generation iPhone will barely fit one of the adapters. Pretty tight, but you can do it. I doubt the new 3G phone will fit, but

When you do connect the phone, a dialogue box pops up to inform you that it is not a supported device, so do you want to continue. Push "yes" and all is well. It works perfectly.

Griffin, the maker of the Tuneflex, says Apple has not approved the device. Apple is famous for tightly controlling things and who knows what politics, licensing fees or what else may be involved here.

None of this applies if you use it as intended, with a supported iPod. You can keep your phone in your pocket and use it separately. On my car, the bluetooth works perfectly and turns the sound down on the auxiliary mode.

So, it works as it should, is handy and tidy, and the price is right. I recommend it if your vehicle has an auxiliary input and a well-placed lighter or power plug outlet.
