(More customer reviews)I purchased this because its waterproof.I tend to do a lot of water activities with friends.This had caught my eye, because I had recently purchased the coleman transmit paddle vest.That particular vest had one of these built in.Amazon always has the best price around, so I bought one.Its about a size of a pager...if you remember what those are...hah!

It has a nice sturdy feel with the batteries inserted.The reception was decent, but the distance was short.I would say around ?-.5 mile at best.I mainly use this for paddling where its nice and quite.I tried to use this on a jetski...its just not loud enough to talk over the motor.I found tha it had a lanyard hole/attachment on the device.I used a zip tie to make a loop and put a Carabiner so that I can fix this to any loops available.
i did dunk this under water with no issues at all.I don't remember if it floated or not.It has multichannel and multiple calling beeps.I am pretty happy with it.a definite must for kayakers or canoeing.
